At Crux Care, we welcome individuals who are committed to their journey of recovery from addiction and who are seeking a supportive environment to aid in their recovery process. While we strive to accommodate diverse needs and backgrounds, there are certain eligibility criteria that individuals must meet to reside in our sober living communities.
Currently, we have one home open - Crux House - which is an all-male home for those recovering from addiction. We plan on opening a few more homes to other demographics by the end of 2024, based on need within the community
At Crux Care, we welcome individuals who are committed to their journey of recovery from addiction and who are seeking a supportive environment to aid in their recovery process. While we strive to accommodate diverse needs and backgrounds, there are certain eligibility criteria that individuals must meet to reside in our sober living communities:
1. Commitment to Sobriety: Prospective occupants must be committed to maintaining sobriety from drugs and alcohol during their stay at Crux Care. We prioritize creating a safe and substance-free environment for all occupants. Occupants must be willing to undergo regular urine drug screenings. An initial drug screen must be performed upon move-in.
2. Willingness to Participate: Occupants are expected to actively participate in their respective treatment plan, weekly house meetings, assigned daily chores and complete 5 hours of a variety of activities on a weekly basis that involve others. Some examples activities are attending counseling sessions, doctor appointments, MeetUp groups, going to the gym, gardening with others. Engagement with others is vital for personal growth and recovery.
3. Compliance with House Rules: Occupants must adhere to the rules and guidelines established by Crux Care to ensure the safety, well-being, and harmony of the community. This includes respecting quiet hours, maintaining cleanliness, and demonstrating mutual respect towards fellow occupants and staff.
4. Financial Responsibility: Occupants are responsible for paying rent and any applicable fees associated with their stay at Crux Care. Financial responsibility demonstrates a commitment to one's recovery journey and contributes to the sustainability of our sober living communities.
5. Assessment and Admission Process: Prospective occupants may undergo an assessment process to determine their suitability for residency at Crux Care. This may include a review of their recovery history, current needs, and goals for the future. Admission decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration the individual's readiness for recovery and compatibility with our community.
